AboutOur adaptive cycling program was created in the spring of 2020. We have purchased and acquired a wide variety of hand cycles, recumbent trikes and other adaptive cycles.
|
WhyOur goal is to keep our athletes active. Since we started as a sled hockey team, we created our cycling program to give our athletes an activity during the warm weather, outdoor months of the year.

We love to ride and we would love for you to ride with us! No experience is necessary. Owning your own adaptive cycle is not needed. We have a large variety and sizes of hand cycles, trikes and adaptive bikes.
WhereWe call the Route 66 bike trail in Towanda our home. We typically meet here at least once per week for a beginner and intermediate level group ride. Our second home is the Constitution Trail in Normal and Bloomington. We often park and meet at Rosa Parks on Raab Road in Normal.
Will Ride For...In an effort to include all riders and ability levels, we try and host a variety of fun and different themed group rides throughout the biking season. Some rides are open to all and some may specify a recommended ability level.
|
We are always looking for new riders to join us. Please follow these easy steps and instructions prior to your first group ride...
1) Buy or borrow a helmet. A helmet is required! 2) Contact Tim @ (309) 261-2250 to coordinate a one on one bike demonstration and fitting. This will take place in Towanda. 3) Show up for a group ride and enjoy! Is It Expensive? At the recreational level, all our programs are free of charge to the athlete and family. If you fall in love with riding as we have, we can help you explore the variety of options available to you for obtaining your very own adaptive bike.
